- Prof. Henry Jones Jr.
Prof. Jones is frequently away on fieldwork. His courses are always covered, though occasionally by a graduate assistant who seems nervous about snakes.
About the program
How languages are born, borrow from each other, and change over centuries. Students trace words back through Old English, Old Norse, and Gothic, then build a small working language of their own, with a grammar, a sound system, and a history.
